Write a Comparative Essay on:
Preliminary work:Take two of the theorists whose work and ideas you found interesting. Writenotes on each. Find out where their ideas are similar and where they aredifferent. Make notes. Examine their theories in the light of South Africaneducation, and make notes.
Then write an essayin which you, in the introduction, (1 or 2 paragraphs) introduce the reader tothe theorists, including a sentence or two of bibliographic detail ifnecessary, and what their general ethical concerns are.
In the body of the essay compare and contrast their ideas(how are they similar and how are they different).Are there many commondiscussion points or do they write about different topics? Remember to activelycompare (for example, put their ideas together and say However &^% believes*&^ and #@! thought &^*) DO NOT JUST WRITE ABOUT ONE AND THEN THEOTHER. Write about points of similarityas well as difference. You can look at the notes on how to write a comparativeessay. This should be the main body of your essay and should be 3-5paragraphs with each paragraph containing related ideas.
In your conclusiondiscuss the value of each ethical approach and how they could be applied/couldbenefit education systems with which you are familiar.
