I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I have been very busy with work and getting my kids ready for back to school next week. For this weeks discussion board we are evaluating and understanding interpersonal team and stakeholders. Stakeholders are a person or group that is vested in a clinical change or decision. Stakeholders can be a variety of people that are directly involved in the healthcare area. This can be patients, clinicians, medical leaders, vendors, and etc.
My national practice problem is childhood obesity. These past decades there has been an increase in childhood obesity. This is a national problem because children who are obese can develop many health concerns and conditions. That range from breathing difficulties to heart conditions or low self esteem. I want to find away that can help combat childhood obesity or prevent it. With this problem, I like to think of the saying that, “it takes a village to raise children”. With that said the stakeholders that I would believe to be involved would be patients (children), nurses, facility directors or head of schools, parents, teachers, and other medical staffing. By achieving a better understanding of stakeholders perception it could help with the overall understanding of childhood obesity and help in implementing a more effective outcome.
