Instructions: As an Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you are likely to encounter children with craniofacial anomalies (CFA) at some point during your career.  Some CFAs are more common (cleft lip and palate) while others are rare.  Some are associated with specific genetic etiologies while the cause of others remains unknown.  Choose one CFA for this project. Use medical sources to help in this presentation. Please include pictures and answer the following questions.

Project must include  an informational powerpoint that you would use to teach your classmates about the CFA youve chosen.  In your presentation  discuss the underlying cause (if known), incidence or prevalence, and how the anatomy of the facial/cranial skeleton is commonly affected. How do you expect speech to be impacted by the differences in anatomy/physiology? Are other subsystems of speech commonly impacted?  What is the typical role of the SLP in treatment of an individual with the CFA you select?  Feel free to include other information of interest.  Make sure that you have a reference slide where you clearly identify the sources you used for your presentation, cited in APA style.
