GANG RESEARCH PACKET
Between Ch 18 and 19 there’s so much overlap: One cannot investigate one without investigating the other.
This week you have a BUNCH of reading to review and all the video you’d ever need to understand the main gang threats in the US. Even a cursory examination of all that will make you half an expert!
Your task this week is to use all that new knowledge and those models to create your own gang profile on the Sons of Anarchy outlaw motorcycle gang depicted in the FX tv show. I want a full work-up of the gang (like an investigator would do) with a table of organization (Smart Art in Word); pictures of their logos, symbols, patches, etc.; information about their illegal and legal (partially legal) businesses; suspected law enforcement and criminal connections; a list of supporters outside the gang; and a list of crimes believed to have been committed.
This is a big project so it carries bigger point value. Be creative and thorough with this- there’s a lot of information available. Take a look at the Gangster Disciples outline in the chapter introduction page to see what I’m looking for.
Put it all together like a formal report, with title page, and submit to Canvas. You will be graded on the depth of your content so make it thorough and use the tools you’ve learned to use from previous assignments.
