Discussion post

Welcome to the first discussion. In this course you will be introduced to a topic in the discussion. The first week of the module you will write about your initial thoughts after reviewing the resources. The initial post should be at least 300 words.  During the same week you have to reply to at least two of your classmates. The replies should be at least 100 words. These are due by midnight on the first Sunday in the term.  Make sure you review the Late Assignment policy posted in the News Forum. See the discussion rubric for more details on grading.

Please be sure to utilize the reading materials (and any outside sources) to support your position(s) and include proper APA citation (in-text and reference list) in your post.

Discussions should always be completed prior to “class.” If you are in an online class or an on ground course this is prior to the lesson portion of the week. 

What do YOU think the value of project management is at this point?  Why is there such a push for companies to adopt project management methodologies?  Why would over 1,000,000 people worldwide hold the Project Management Professional credential from PMI?
