Select a cold homicide case (currently unsolved) for this assignment.  A good place to look might be the website for a large city or county law enforcement agency.  There are also many blogs, podcasts, new articles, and other sources that feature unsolved cases.  You might need to do some research to find a case with enough information to answer the questions for this assignment, as “that information is not available” is not an acceptable answer. 

Provide a brief summary of the case (approximately 1 paragraph) and then answer the following questions:

·        How long has this case been “cold”?

·        Were there any circumstances that made the collection of evidence in the case difficult or impossible?  Was there evidence that was not collected, and if so, why not?

·        Are there focal suspects in this case who have not been eliminated?  Why not?

·        Were there other considerations that made this case more difficult to investigate?

·        Do you believe the investigating law enforcement agency had adequate resources (manpower, expertise, equipment, etc.) to property investigate this case?  Explain your answer.

·        If you were the investigator in this case, what steps would you take to move the case forward?

·        Do you believe this case will ever be solved?  Why, or why not?

You can include information and photos from your research but remember to cite any sources.  Formatting for this can be informal, but use proper grammar and spelling, and be sure to address all parts of each question.
