Write an account of either one or two difficult teaching experiences that you have experienced as a teacher, either in VET or in other sectors (around 300-400 words). Examples of difficult teaching experiences might be unmotivated or unruly students, students who distract others, etc. The difficult teaching situations should be specific events or instances, rather than general features of a cohort you have taught. Explain what the context was for each experience (e.g. type of student(s), qualification level, teaching environment) and what it was about it that was difficult. Make sure you pay attention, in your account, to the perspective of the learner or learners.
Then explain (around 300-400 words) how learning theories help to explain the difficulties you encountered, and how they might help you to deal with, or prevent, similar challenges in the future.
