Using PowerPoint, prezi, or some other visual presentation style, create a visual of your audience profile. (See the examples below). You will present the demographics and psychographics of your target audience in this visual. The goal is to develop a very realistic person that you can imagine communicating to. Include the following information for full consideration of points:
- Indicate the topic/issue and your specific side or point of view
- Name for your audience member
- A prototypical photo of what they would look like
- Their demographics
- Their psychographics

Research your intended audience to get a better sense of who they are (demographics). Some of you may already know much of this information without having to do research, while others may have to look up information on certain aspects such as age, gender, etc. Make a list of the demographics for yourself and be sure to save any sources so you can cite them eventually.
Once you’ve determined the demographics, narrow down the values and beliefs of your audience (psychographics). Don’t guess or assume!
If you do any research for the assignment, list the APA references at the end of your post or attach them with your PowerPoint file, include them in your prezi, etc.

Demographics: These are the dry facts about your audience.
- Age or age range
- Gender
- Occupation
- Ethnicity
- Geolocation
- Education level
Psychographics: These include attitudes, aspirations, and values of your audience.
- Personality characteristics
- Lifestyle
- Social class
- Attitudes
- Principles & beliefs
- Activities & Interests
- Their knowledge level of your topic and issue (this one is specific to this assignment)
For example, if your audience is mainly teens from 10-18, what do they care about? What do they value? Clothes, technology, and social media? What kind of clothes, technology, and social media?
