For this assignment, you are to write an essay of approximately 3500-4000 words, addressing the following question:

Is spirituality necessary to consider in psychology?
As with assignment one, when considering how to write your essay it might be important to consider that I am not looking for a ‘re-hash’ of material. Again, I am looking for flair, innovation, and creativity in your essays. Use the feedback you receive from assignment one to guide your writing of assignment two.

Wow me. Approach the topic from a new or interesting perspective. Get creative. Don’t be afraid to push boundaries.

This assignment is worth 30% of your final grade and is due on Monday 20 September 2021 by 5pm.You’ve made it into post-graduate study, and at this level there is an expectation you know how to write an essay – not only in terms of how to structure the essay, but also the kind of material you could include, and the arguments you need to make. smile

But, as budding psychologists and researchers, there is also room for creativity and innovation, so I expect you will use that when considering how to present your work. However, as a very general guide, here are some useful tips regarding the presentation of your essays:

You must include references to support your work – both in-text and in a reference list. There is no minimum or maximum number of references required. At this level, it is expected you will use a sufficient amount of references to support the ‘story’ you are telling.
You do not need to include an abstract.
Double or 1½ line spacing is preferred.
You must submit your essays as word documents.
Each page should be numbered in one continuous sequence in the top right-hand corner. Commence numbering from the page following the title page. 
A title page should be placed at the beginning of the work. This should give your full name, university affiliation, and contact details [this is good practice for when you submit journal articles].Essay topic covered comprehensively, with critical analysis and commentary included. Essay structure and organisation is logical and of excellent academic standard. Referencing is adequate in quantity, accurate, and with evidence of sources utilised outside of the course materials. Overall presentation of the essay is excellent.
