 i told my teacher that I had no idea what I was doing.. and no idea what to pick as a topic.
Because I am a musician she suggested music therapy for the elderly.

The purpose of this assignment is to assess your ability to use APA formatting correctly in a document. Another purpose is to select credible research to inform clients, family members, or other PSWs about a topic in health care or related to PSW topics.

Topic & Format of Fact Sheet
• You may choose any health care or PSW topic that interests you
• Topic examples: heart failure, PSW scope of practice, wheelchair safety, paralysis, Indigenous health care practices, worker burnout, lift safety, etc.

• Prepare a 3-4 page Word document as follows:

Page 1 – APA-formatted title page
Page 2 – APA-formatted fact sheet
Page 3 – APA-formatted fact sheet (if more space is needed)
Page 4 – APA-formatted reference page

Research Requirements
You must find and use 3 different types of reference sources for your topic.
Examples of different types of reference sources are:
• Book
• Journal article
• Newspaper article
• Website or document from a website
• YouTube video or other type of video
• Electronic brochures
• Government documents
• Health care bulletins
• Magazine

Read the information from your 3 sources then prepare a fact sheet about what you have learned from your research and reading.

You MUST cite sections of information using in-text citations – yes, even for pictures
Content & Sections
The sections of information you include and format of your fact sheet is up to you.

However, you must use Word to properly format your fact sheet to APA style.
Use headings as per APA format.
You must include at least 3 paragraphs.
You can include images, charts, or diagrams, but make sure to include an in-text citation for them and include the source on your reference page.

Order of Elements

Page 1 — Title page in APA format
Page 2-3 — Fact sheet about your topic
• margins, spacing, page numbers and font as per APA format
• you MUST have at least 3 paragraphs on your fact sheet; the rest can be bullet points or pictures
• include level one and level two headings
• in text citations for ANY paraphrased information
• at least one direct quote with in-text citation
Page 3 or 4 is the Reference list for the fact sheet
• must be APA format
• at least 3 sources included
