Speech Outline

For your speech, you must submit a complete preparation outline. Follow the guidelines in Chapter 11 of the textbook. In particular, look at the sample outline in your book. Your outline should be a written record of what you intend to say – that is, it should be written in complete sentences, should include properly referenced sources, and should include a bibliography/works cited. (You may use either APA or MLA style; just be consistent.)

An outline for a speech of this length will generally be 2-3 pages long.

Your task is to inform the audience about some object, process, concept or event. Select a topic that is useful and interesting! Remember that you are educating the audience, not convincing them to change a belief or take a certain action. Inform them, don’t persuade them! The speech needs to be at least 5 minutes long.
