Research Paper Instructions
During the length of this course the student will write a 15 page Research Paper. Each Discussion and Article Review is designed to aid in writing the Research Paper. In addition, the student will utilize a Peer-to-Peer Review as well as LUs Writing Center trained Reviewers or an alternate reviewer to aide them in writing a graduate level paper. The student must draw from the most current sources (less than 5 years), which most likely means using the Jerry Falwell Library to find at least 8 peer-reviewed scholarly sources. Each fact must be cited utilizing in-text citations. You can expect to cite at least 2 quotes per source in the paper.
The student should select an aviation topic that they are interested in. The topic should have a narrow focus within aviation. The paper must utilize LUs approved APA graduate format and ensure proper spelling, grammar, and references. The paper must use at least 8 peer-reviewed scholarly sources and contain 15 pages of substantive content. The paper must include a title page, abstract, and reference page (not included in the 15 page count). Students can locate and utilize as a guide the LU approved APA format and template for graduate writing by visiting the LU Writing Center, https://www.liberty.edu/online/casas/writing-center/.
The Research Paper has 4 parts divided throughout this course:
1. Research Paper Topic Submission Quiz: State the chosen topic to conduct research on. The student should remember to choose a topic that they are passionate or highly interest in. This should be an aviation topic. In addition, state why this topic was chosen. Research Paper Topic Submission Quiz is to be submitted by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module 1: Week 1.

2. First Rough Draft: Submit the first rough draft of the Research Paper for Peer-to-Peer Review Discussions by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of Module 4: Week 4.
Once you have posted your rough draft, you are to pick one peer to provide thorough feedback of their Research Paper utilizing the Word comment feature. Once you have added feedback to your peers rough draft, upload your feedback when replying to that peers post. Be sure to read the Peer-to-Peer Discussion Board instructions before submission.
3. Second Rough Draft: After you edit/ revise your rough draft of the Research Paper utilizing the comments from the Peer-to-Peer Discussions Review, submit your second rough draft to the LU Writing Center or an alternate reviewer not familiar with your paper. You must upload the feedback provided by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module 6: Week 6.
If you choose to utilize the LU Writing Center; go to https://www.liberty.edu/online/casas/writing-center/; click on Draft Reviews, and obtain a review of your second rough draft by a trained Reviewer. If you plan on utilizing the LU Writing Center, plan ahead to ensure you have enough time to have a Reviewer review your rough draft, provided feedback, and then upload the reviewers comments. You will need to upload all the feedback provided to you by the trained Reviewer to receive points for this assignment. The purpose of this assignment is to ensure and provide evidence that you have utilized the Draft Reviews provided by LU.
4. Final Draft: Provided the feedback from the Peer-to-Peer Review and the LU Writing Center, edit your rough drafts in order to submit the final draft of your Research Paper. The final draft must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. (ET) Sunday of Module 7: Week 7.
