I am a vegan because I do not think people need to kill animals or to eat products that come from animals to be able to survive. 

 The audience that I am writing to with this essay is people who consume animals and animal products and people who do not consume animals and animal products. People do not support vegan eating for many reasons. One example of people who may be opposed to not consuming animal products are the people who own stores and factories that provide milk, eggs, meat and other animal products. Other people who may be opposed to not consuming animals and the animal products, are farmers who raise animals to make dairy products, to eat the meat, or feed the animals to make them large and grown up enough to sell. A lot of people do not support vegan eating because they do not think you can get enough protein and nutrients from a plant protein based vegan eating. One more reason people do not support vegan eating is because people think animals like cows, pigs, and chickens on farms were put on the earth for the purpose for humans to eat the animals and the products the animals provide. People have been eating animals and animal products for hundreds of years and some people do not plan on not eating animals and the animal products. 

I hope the readers of my essay understand there can be other ways of eating as opposed to consuming animals and animal products.
