This Module section contains Spotlight pages (and lectures/case studies) with additional resources that will be a part of the restructured online 1070 course this fall.
You will have the opportunity to earn up to 5% extra credit (total – on your final grade percentage) by watching, reading, analyzing, and/or assessing the materials present on these module pages.
You obviously will not have time to do everything, but you can select a couple of areas that most interested you throughout the term.
The breakdown for how much extra credit you can earn will roughly work like this.
3% – View the Documentary, Activism, and New Modes of “Television” lecture in its entirety and provide feedback on the content (that will be required for upcoming 1070 students). Provide 4-5 things that stood out, things you liked, things that perhaps did not quite work, suggestions of other documentaries that might be good to highlight etc. You should also complete the documentary analysis exercise on Fahrenheit 9/11 or 11/9 that is in the propaganda section of the lecture. Turn your thoughts in about a half-page or more response.
