Write a 250 to 300-word reflection upon class material that fulfills the following:
There are two parts to this WTL assignment:
For the first part, consider the following:
We recently discussed the important concepts for understanding Descartes’ project in the Meditations. Central to this understanding is having a clear grasp of the difference among materialism, idealism, Cartesian dualism, and neutral monism (not really, but there was brief discussion of this). For your first part of this assignment, choose the position of the mind-body problem that you think best solves the problem of the interaction between the mind and the body. Provide a clear description and explanation in your own words of the position with which you agree. Then, provide an argument for that position. In other words, there are two parts for the first part–
1) choose and explain your position on the mind-body problem, and
2) provide an argument for that position.
For the second part of this assignment:
Argue against the position you chose for part 1 of this WTL. In other words, provide a discussion against your choice for your initial solution to the mind-body problem. Your counter-argument must provide an assessment of your initial argument for your position. A strong 2nd part would provide other reasons/arguments against your initial position.
