gender victimization is the main topic. Please review few lines written below to get you started with the paper.
Women are more likely to be sexually abused as compared to men. Much of the abuse within intimate relationships happens behind closed doors and it is not visible in the community. Due to the high levels of shame within their communities, many women are reluctant to come forward (Silvestri & Crowther-Dowley, 2016). Culture also plays a huge role in shaping your beliefs around gender victimization. Sexual violence is likely to occur more commonly in cultures that foster beliefs of perceived male superiority and social and cultural inferiority of women. It has been postulated that the rates of unreported sexual offenses are higher in some Asian cultures where virginity is highly valued and a woman’s modesty is of utmost importance that gives her family the required respect (Kalra and Bhugra, 2013). Moreover, Siegel and Williams’s (2001) research states that those who were victimized both before turning 13 and then again as adolescents between ages 13 and 17 were at much greater risk of victimization as adults than any other woman. Violence against women can cause long-term effects, it also influences the mental health and functioning of the victim especially due to the social responses to the violence.

Consider the comments under while writing the paper:
– add how we can better support survivors and what may help reduce against the victimization.
– the ages of the people involved as it creates a broader topic for the research. Perhaps focusing on adults, or children would be more effective?
