To prove that you are engaging in the writing process, submit a rough draft of the Introduction Paragraph and a rough draft of One Body Paragraph of Essay 3.

For the Introduction: make sure that your Introduction has a Lead-in, a Thesis, and an Essay Map.

For the Body Paragraph you must have:

1) A Transition word/phrase in the Topic Sentence to show if it’s the first, middle, or last body paragraph in the entire essay.

2) A Topic Sentence to announce the paragraph’s subject matter.

3) At least three examples to be considered complete.

4) Transitions words/phrases before each example to separate and organize the examples.

5) A conclusion sentence at the end of the paragraph to show that the paragraph is done.

Even though this is a rough draft, show me that you have found a source to back up at least one of the examples in the paragraph.

If you do have a source, remember to:

1) Use the Sandwiching Technique.

2) Use parenthetical/in-text citations after the direct quote/paraphrase. Make sure you follow MLA formatting guidelines.
