To begin, in order to give your fellow students time to post helpful suggestions, all students will submit no later than Wednesday, their Topic Selection (from week 2) and a shortened version of the Background of the Case (from week 3) for their Ethical Dilemma Course Project. DO NOT ATTACH DOCUMENTS! You will want to check out my comments in the grade book from week’s 2 and 3 and make the necessary changes before you post here!!! If you do not, you gain NO POINTS for that post!
As I said, do NOT attach documents, INSTEAD, copy and paste, yes, I said, copy and paste, your week 2 topic selection ONLY and a shortened version of week 3 paper into the discussion. This counts as ONE (1) post. TRY NOT TO BE TOO WORDY. MAKE SURE SOMEONE CAN REPLY WITH THE TYPE OF POSTS I ASK FOR BELOW.
Each student will then respond to the submissions of at least two other students using either a written response or a spoken audio recording that offers an Application of the Law/Code of Ethics to their case. (You will therefore post 3 times within in this discussion). YOU MUST POST 3 times….even if you show for the Live session. That appearance only applies to the other discussion.

Application of Law/Code of Ethics: How you help your fellow students:
Your posts should identify the professional and/or corporate code of ethics that applies to the case of the student that you choose. Identify the code of ethics, professional/employee code of conduct or workplace standards that were violated or that arose or that could have been invoked and used in the ethical dilemma of a fellow student that you choose to review. Use the facts that the student posted to explain what you mean.

There are examples of codes of ethics in our modules this week. Is there a professional code that applies to the situation? USE FACTS FROM THE POSTS YOU CHOSE TO REPLY TO! If there is no professional code, is there an industry code of conduct that might apply?
If the organization/business doesn’t have an explicit code of ethics, research general codes of ethics for the organization/businesss type (business, legal, journalistic, or medical, for example). Be prepared not only to describe the organization’s ethical issues and to furnish specific evidence of them USING THE FACTS SUBMITTED BY THE STUDENT YOU ARE POSTING A REPLY WITH, but also to note whether and how these ethical issues have violated the organization’s own code.
Using one of the professional codes on that list and/or, as appropriate, an online code from a business or industry that directly applies to the case, determine what the ethical priorities are and the nature of the commitment to ethical behavior of the case chosen for review.
You should use our book for this!!!!
Did the code of ethics apply effectively to the facts of the case? Would the outcome have changed had the stakeholders followed the principles and priorities of the code? What, if anything, is missing from the facts or the code that might have prevented the ethical issue in the first place? Give suggestions! But, keep your answers short and helpful!
