Recent events pertaining to COVID, as well as some research that I have been carrying out, hasshaped this second assignment; an exploration of Daniel Defoes Journal of the Plague Year.While Defoes work was published in 1722, it draws on seventeenth century sources to explain theGreat Plague of London in 1665. The assignment will be a 1000-word paper that uses Defoesbook to better understand, from a historical perspective, an aspect of the current pandemic we areexperiencing. The paper will require a short introduction, offering an overview of Defoes workand the London plague, before addressing one of the questions below. The paper should end witha conclusion that touches on any valuable lessons we can learn from Defoes Journal of the PlagueYear about managing our own lives during this pandemic. The essay should have a title (no titlepage is required though) Just provide your name, date and student number in the right-hand cornerof the paper, with a title below.As with the Utopia paper, if you only use Defoes Journal, you can use parenthetical notation atthe end of the sentence (p. 2).
