Watch either 13th (available on Netflix) or Get Out then in a 3-5 page paper (excluding cover page and references page), explain how Angela Davis’ (that is, her book Freedom is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement) theories, ideas, and concepts relate to the issues raised in the film. How does the film further Davis’ ideas and theories about incarceration, racial violence, and racial justice?
Guidelines and evaluation criteria for final project: The final project should adhere to all specifications listed above and indicate which type of final you have selected (e.g. Creative Project: Option 3 Collage). Written submissions should follow all specified writing submission requirements (preferred citation, double- spaced, Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1” margins all around) and references list. Paper submissions must be presented in an organized and informative manner and clearly state significant details, concepts, or examples related to the concepts/theories/ideas presented throughout the course.
