1. What is the hypothesis or research question the author is studying? Quote a sentence that discusses the hypothesis or research question.
2. What are the variables in the hypothesis or research question? Be specific and identify the independent and dependent variables.
3. What are the findings or results of the study? Does the evidence support the hypothesis? Explain how.
4. Which type of data did the researcher use more: quantitative or qualitative, or both? Quote a statement from the article that discusses the data.
5. What methods of data collection did the author use to gather empirical evidence? Quote a statement from the article that identifies these methods. Choose 1 or 2 from the list below.
· Survey – questionnaire or interview
· Existing data – census or collections by other organizations
· Historical data – letters, diaries, reports, news items, documents written more than 20 years ago
· Content analysis – literature, social media stories, recorded conversations, movies, TV shows, songs, etc.
