Non-verbal communication is very important in everyday life as well as in giving a speech.  When telling a story to an audience and just having no posture or body language can make the story dull and unexciting. Also, having bad body language can send the wrong message you are trying to persuade the audience.  If I am trying to tell a group of people why springs are better than going to the ocean if I don’t have a smile on my face or I am slurring my words to where people can not understand me or get what I am saying then who would wanna go to spring more then the ocean.  If we have no emotion on what we are so eager to share then who is gonna keep the attention of what the topic may be.

“Besides the message you send with words, you send a message with your tone of voice, appearance, gestures, facial expression, and eye contact.” (Lucas,2019,pg18). You must be eager to teach and share what you are most excited about and how to share it will make or break the topic.
