This year we are being instructed by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to assess students on a set of core objectives involving Student Learning Outcomes.  In Psychology we have been assigned the task of assessing 1) Critical Thinking, 2) Communication, 3) Empirical and Quantitative Skills, and 4) Social Responsibility. 

To satisfy both the State (THECB) and Federal (SACS) requirements you are being assigned an article to read and a paper to write in which you will answer questions regarding that article.  The article will address concerns about ALCOHOL USE and will be provided for you.

This assignment is NOT extra credit.  It will be counted as a quiz worth 10 points to be added to your total grade.
