I would choose a degenerative process of varied etiology, which includes mechanical changes, diseases, and joint trauma. It characterized by degeneration of articular cartilage with hypertrophy of subchondral bone and joint capsule of the joint.

Medication- corticosteroids, NSAIDs, glucocorticoids are injected into joints that are inflamed and not responsive to NSAIDs. for mild pain with inflammation she should use acetaminophen.

DX Tests- x-ray showing joint space, decrease in height of articular cartilage, and the presence of osteophytes and lab test.

PT goals- Linda should do joint protection strategies, maintain or improve joint mechanics and CT functions, implement aerobic capacity and endurance conditioning programs aquatics.

The advantages- Linda would have a relief from the chronic pain from time to time.

Disadvantages- Linda would have to keep doing everything all the time and take pain killers to keep the pain down.

Therapy- Linda should try one therapy at a time because she would then know what really works for her and improve her body.
