But now let’s discuss the reading…Check out the two accounts below. Both are about the actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, who died of a drug overdose a few years ago. Can you guess (before looking!) how these two accounts of his death relate to the reading for this week?“Despite his wife's exasperated separation due to his drug use and recent neglectful behavior while visiting his children, Philip Seymour Hoffman embraced the celebrity drug lifestyle, choosing to return to heroine again and again over the last 20 years. When he was found dead, massive amounts of the drug, which police say was evidence of Hoffman's pre-meditated plans for a long binge, were found in his home.”  VERSUS“After many years of bitter struggle against the crippling disease of heroin addiction and numerous attempts at rehab, beloved actor and cherished family man Philip Seymour Hoffman lost the battle and tragically died of an overdose.”while visiting his children, Philip Seymour Hoffman embraced the celebrity drug lifestyle, choosing to return to heroine again and again over the last 20 years.
