Include you state in the title of the initial post.
Please let the writer read and re-read the rubric before started this project. It is important because the rubric has some very specific items such as writers state of practice. Please will like to use the state of Maryland in the united states of America for the project.
THANK YOU.
Please I want this project to be OK and I don’t have to come and ask why it is not complete by the due date.

Consensus Model Discussion Write-up
Grading Rubric and Critical Elements for a Class Discussion
Refer to the assignment instructions for details on required content, word limits, required references, due dates, Turnitin requirements, etc. Keep the focus on the intent of the assignment and do not allow yourself to drift too far. The following critical elements should guide your postings:
• Prepare for the assignment by reviewing the unit content and resources. Students should demonstrate graduate-level understanding and analysis of the concepts and the relationships among ideas, identifying hidden assumptions or fallacies in reasoning. Students are expected to demonstrate the ability to apply the principles or concepts in the lessons to real-life situations integrating implications for advanced practice. Students should support their opinions with expert opinion through a deep dive into the literature validating thinking and/or broadening perspectives/understanding of the content.
• Cross posts should elaborate upon the ideas of others or content found in the readings/keynotes by adding details, examples, a different viewpoint, or other relevant information. The cross posts should provide original insights or responses that integrate multiple views. (Just saying ditto, I agree, or restating the original post is not considered elaboration.) There should be evaluation and feedback that assesses the accuracy, reasonableness, or quality of idea, and provides constructive feedback to classmates.
• The original post and cross posts should provide reflection and meaning by describing thoughtfully what the idea means, uncovering new insights. The cross posts should raise questions as to what needs further clarification or discussion. Personal or professional experiences may be integrated into the cross posts, but are not the sole purpose of the cross posts.
• The initial and cross posts should be posted by the due dates allowing time for classmates to respond. The author should monitor their posts and respond to cross posts from other students. The online discussion should mimic a thoughtful classroom discussion. Therefore, the students should demonstrate promptness and initiative in posting and remain engaged throughout the discussion.
• The presentation of the post should demonstrate a clear and concise writing style appropriate to graduate-level work, utilizing appropriate terminology.
• Peer-reviewed references (meaning articles published in scholarly journals) should be your primary support in all posts and cited according to APA formatting guidelines.
Grading Rubric
/0.5 Introduce your discussion in one (1) paragraph. The paragraph should end with a single-sentence thesis statement summarizing the purpose of the discussion.
/3 Describe how barring APRNs from full practice authority affect (a) healthcare costs, (b) access to care, (c) delivery of care, and (d) quality of care. Support your conclusions with current research data and examples.
/1.5 Discuss how the implementation of the APRN Consensus Model stands to impact your role as an APRN. This could be positive and/or negative. Consider the following:
• How has the Consensus Model created or removed barriers to the APRN role?
• Has the Consensus Model affected your specialty area in particular?
/2 Discuss the status of implementation of the APRN Consensus Model in your home state. This section should include all of the following: MY HOME STATE IS MARYLAND, USA
• What titles are used for APRNs? Are all four APRN roles recognized in your state? If not, which roles are not recognized?
• Is the term “licensure” used for APRN roles in your state? If not, what term(s) are used?
• Is a graduate or post graduate degree required in your state to practice in an advanced practice role?
• Is national certification required in your state to practice in an advanced practice role?
• Do APRN roles allow for independent practice in your state? Not independent? No authority?
• Do the APRN roles allow for independent prescribing in your state? Not independent? No authority?
/2 If you were responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the consensus model, what outcomes would signify that the model is working as intended? To answer this question include the (a) patient-based, (b) system-based, and/or (c) policy-based outcomes that would guide your evaluation into your discussion. Provide support from the literature for each.
/2 Identify and discuss legislation in your state legislature regarding the APRN role.
• Is there legislation currently being proposed in your state legislature regarding the APRN role? Has there been previous state legislation that has failed? To find out, go to the state legislature websites and search for current state legislation. Use search terms such as “nurse”, “nursing”, “APRN,” etc.
/0.5 Conclusion: Provide a single summary paragraph of the main points of the discussion.
/2 Substantial cross posts to at least two (2) other students. The cross posts provide new or supplemental information to the original posting or raise additional areas for discussion. New or additional peer-reviewed references should be cited in both cross posts.
/1.5 Students demonstrate active engagement in the discussion by responding to cross posts from their peers to their initial posting. References are not required for these responses. The key to this section is to demonstrate active engagement in the discussion through your interaction with your peers–watch for posts from your classmates and acknowledge their posting. *Note: if the student does not have peer cross posts for the initial posting, these points will be incorporated into the cross post section above.
/15 Total Points
Overall, points are awarded based on the quality of the posts and the degree to which the submissions contribute to class discussion. Students must show evidence of engagement throughout the discussion and postings should reflect application of the assigned lesson materials. Peer-reviewed references and evidence (results of formal inquiry published in the literature) are your primary types of support and are necessary to develop posts as expected.
