Working for a large computer company and developing new, innovative products under very tight time constraints can be stressful. People respond to such stress in many ways, some healthy and some unhealthy. An internal investigation in your company has revealed too many staff members were complaining about visual problems but also neck and back pain as well as headaches. Considering how much computer work is visual, the CEO asked you to produce a summary of the impact of extended computer use on the visual system and provide recommendations for decreasing such impact on the visual system. But the CEO also wants the staff to focus on maintaining a healthy visual system and wants you to also capture signs and symptoms of three important and common visual disorders that would be relevant to this work environment.

Instructions

You will develop a creative and engaging three-fold, two-page (front and back of a page with three columns on each side) educational pamphlet for the staff of the company. Your boss plans to use your pamphlet as a starting point for discussing these important issues. The point of the pamphlet is to educate the staff on the negative effects of extended computer use on the visual system and also how changes in the visual system can impact computer use. In your pamphlet:

· Describe the impact of computer vision on physical function.

· Note strategies for preventing computer vision syndrome.

· Explain three other visual disorders and their impact on vision and how that impact can affect extended computer use. Discuss screening and prevention strategies.

· Provide appropriate narrative and graphics on computer vision syndrome and the three other visual disorders. No more than one-third of the page should be dedicated to graphics.

· Include at least two references from reliable sources as well as the textbook. These references should be cited correctly in APA format; however, the document itself does not need to follow APA double-spacing requirements.
