After that, some actions I would take to engage the youth to ensure that they do not fall into the perils of gang life is having more police interaction with the children of the neighborhood, Making sure that the kids have a positive experience with a police officer, and also respect. I can do this by having fun activities By doing so, I believe the children would think twice before joining a gang. Additionally, I would hold gang information seminars for the parents and kids so they get educated on the dangers and consequences of being involved in the gang lifestyle. Second one My approach would be to focus on conflict resolution and prevention. After diffusing the situation between the neighbors, I want to recognize the concern about gang violence in the area. It is a serious problem and seeing gang-affiliated people in the neighborhood would raise concern. “If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck” is something my Dad would say to me when I was friends with troublesome people and this is the same situation. It’s going to be a potential risk for him to continue being friends with these individuals. To prevent him and others from falling into gang life, It would be good to work with local organizations as an outlet for youth groups. This will offer mentoring and workshops for responsibilities and decision-making to make a peaceful resolution instead of violence. Lastly is to grow trust with law enforcement to show the reality of what gang life would be like. Some people need a wake-up call and talking to someone who has seen it firsthand. I want to create an environment that will empower young individuals to choose constructive paths and stay away from the allure of gangs.
